WG Seeks Locally-Authentic Food Trucks to Operate at Waterloo Park

As we prepare to reopen Waterloo Park this August, we’re seeking proposals from experienced, locally-authentic food truck vendors.

Located at the western edge of Waterloo Park adjacent to the Kitty King Powell Lawn, the Family Pavilion will soon be a place where park-goers can pick up a bite to eat and picnic around the park’s nature-inspired playground beneath towering shade trees, on the Moody Amphitheater’s lush Great Lawn, or on the many built-in seating areas scattered throughout the 11-acre greenspace.

Waterloo Park features space for two food trucks to provide local, affordable food for guests to enjoy during park hours or at special events. Any questions from interested vendors must be submitted by May 28, 2021. Proposals must be received by June 4, 2021.

In 2017, we conducted a series of public meetings, community outreach, and surveys to determine what kind of food options people wanted to see at Waterloo Greenway. We found that people wanted diverse food options that are local, family-friendly, sustainable, and affordable—among other key findings.
