Tickets Now Available for Waterloo Greenway’s Creek Show

Prepare to immerse yourself in Waterloo Greenway’s annual display of illuminated art created by teams of visionary local artists, landscape architects and designers – FREE tickets are available now at creekshow.com.

Returning November 11-20, 2022, Waterloo Greenway invites the community to enjoy ten free nights of light-based art installations along Waller Creek from 9th Street to Waterloo Park at 12th Street.

Guests can make plans to attend by reserving FREE tickets online now, while supplies last. To guarantee your entry and skip the line, a limited number of $10 tickets will be available each night. All proceeds from Creek Show support free community programming at Waterloo Park.

“Austinites will be dazzled by this year’s awe-inspiring Creek Show installations,” said AIA Austin Executive Director and Creek Show Artistic Director Ingrid Spencer. “Each piece tells a different story, connecting viewers to Waller Creek and the transformative, restorative potential of Waterloo Greenway.”

Viewers can experience a record-number of installations along Waller Creek. No reservations required for entry into Waterloo Park, featuring family-friendly activities, nightly live music, and food & beverages from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. 

Creek Show Preview Night – November 10, 2022

This year, Waterloo Greenway will host a one-night ticketed Preview Night ($25) on November 10 for Creek Show enthusiasts, offering advanced access and an exclusive first look at this year’s luminescent art. The evening will culminate with a special performance by Austin’s Grammy-winning, funk-infused, cumbia orchestra Grupo Fantasma at the Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park.

Enjoy FREE performances by local artists at Waterloo Park’s Moody Amphitheater every night at Creek Show!

Featured performers include: The Texas National Guard 36th Infantry Division Pop Band, Chief Cleopatra, San Gabriel, Brand New Key, Big Wy’s Brass Band, J.R. Gomez Y Los Conjunto Bandits, and many more!

Engaging Activities for All Ages

The whole family can participate in a variety of hands-on STEAM activities at the Netspend Family Zone. Nightly interactive activities are provided in partnership with Austin Parks and Recreation Department, Austin Public Library, Austin Watershed Protection Department, GirlStart, MadScience, STEMsign, and more.

Visitors can stop by the PNC Lounge at Creek Show to learn more about Waterloo Greenway, membership opportunities, and snap a picture at the Netspend Photo Booth.

Inside Waterloo Park, guests will have a wide variety of food and drink options at Moody Amphitheater concessions, the Capitol Wright Distributing Beer Garden, and Creek Show Cocktail Lounge on the Tito’s Terrace.

This annual event highlights the vision for a connected and restored Waterloo Greenway. The first phase of the Waterloo Greenway park system, Waterloo Park, is now open daily to the public, featuring year-round cultural, educational, and environmental programs.
