Thank you to all who came out to our first Friday Flick of the summer!
Hundreds gathered at Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park on Friday, July 8 to enjoy a free screening of Sing 2 presented by Waterloo Greenway in partnership with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and Austin Parks Foundation.
Before the flick, families danced along to live music by Colombian roots band Wache and participated in activities with our friends at Austin Parks Foundation, Armstrong Community Music School, Austin School of Music, Dance Waterloo, and Girls Rock Austin.
“At Austin Parks Foundation, we’re excited to celebrate our 30th anniversary by bringing back our signature Movies in the Park program to parks across the city for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Colin Wallis, CEO of Austin Parks Foundation. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with amazing partners like Waterloo Greenway Conservancy on this program to ensure Austin residents can enjoy free movies in the beautiful green spaces we all love so much.”
Mark your calendars for our next free movie screenings at Waterloo Park!
Screenings begin at sunset.
Friday Flicks are free & open to the public.
Picnics, lawn chairs, and blankets are encouraged. Friendly, leashed dogs are also welcome! Glass and alcohol are prohibited.
