On August 21, we celebrated the next chapter of our project and organization with over 300 friends and supporters at Symphony Square.
Last week’s Waterloo Greenway brand launch was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who attended: members of our board, volunteers, partners, City of Austin leadership, and elected officials including Mayor Adler, Council Member Tovo, and Council Member Harper-Madison. If you weren’t able to be there, you can watch the announcement here.
The Greenway will serve as a bridge in a divided Austin, between east and west, and between our past and our future. Because of this project, Austin will be greener, it will be more creative, it will be more connected, and it will be more equitable.

This string of green space isn’t just going to be another park — it will be an ecological ribbon of public places where we can all come together to gather, to relax, to meditate, and to share space with our neighbors from all, and i’ll repeat that, ALL parts of Austin.
