Waterloo Green Day Recap

Thank you to all who came out to celebrate Waterloo Green Day with us and our partners at Planet Texas 2050 on Sunday, April 24, 2022!

Our free Earth Month celebration was designed to educate, inspire, and encourage sustainability, innovation, and environmental justice in our community. The event featured 35+ interactive exhibits, hands-on workshops, live mural paintings from local artists Kandy Kuo & Wade Thompson, environmental panel discussions, live music & dance, birds of prey flight showcases, and much more!

Throughout the day, Austinites enjoyed performances by DJ Zetroc, Bramaya, Ventana Ballet, and Superfónicos on the Tito’s Handmade Vodka Stage at Moody Amphitheater. Plus, fascinating wildlife exhibitions and demonstrations by Austin Reptile Service and Last Chance Forever The Bird of Prey Conservancy.

On the Meredith Heritage Tree Deck, families participated in a variety of hands-on children’s activities presented by The Powell Foundation, including a music workshop with Kupira Marimba and fun activities with MadScience, GirlStart, and local artist Jodi Bade.
