We throw the picnic each spring to raise funds and awareness, but there’s no confusing it with a black-tie gala. It just feels like Austin being Austin — the kind of coming together that, when Waterloo Greenway is completed, will be possible every night of the year! Every year, more than 1,500 guests and families gather to celebrate the restoration of downtown green space. The evening features curated picnic baskets and a variety of creative libations from some of Austin’s best local restaurants.
