Show Support for the Waller Creek TIF on May 24

Many of you have asked how you can help advance our mission to build a chain of parks on Waller Creek, and we could not be more grateful for your ongoing support. Now the time has come when we are counting on you!

On Thursday, May 24, the Austin City Council will be considering an amendment to the Waller Creek TIF that would bring significant capital funding to the project. This represents a huge moment that would pave the way for completion of our parks. If you believe in the mission of Waller Creek Conservancy and the impact this chain of parks will have on our community for generations to come, please tell our Council to vote YES in support of the Waller Creek TIF amendment.

The Austin City Council will meet next Thursday, May 24 at City Hall, located at 301 W. 2nd Street, in Council Chambers. The amendment to the Waller Creek TIF is Agenda Item #12 and public hearing is Agenda Item #67. The public hearing has been scheduled to begin no earlier than 4:00 p.m.

Our Council Members need to hear from you! Show support in three different ways:

  1. SIGN UP IN SUPPORT
  2. EMAIL COUNCIL
  3. ATTEND THE MEETING

### Sign Up in Support of Item #12

To officially be included in the public record, you must officially register your support for Agenda Item #12. In the City Hall lobby, there are multiple kiosks to sign up. Kiosks will offer several prompts where you will need to enter your name and some additional information (very minimal).

You will then be asked if you are signing up in support or opposition. Please sign up in support.

It will also ask if you are signing up wishing to speak. If you plan to speak, select YES. If not, select NO. If you do not wish to speak, your support will still be registered and reported.

You must sign up before the public hearing starts — to be safe, please sign up before 4:00 p.m. on May 24. (You can do this any time between 12pm on Monday, May 21 and 4pm on Thursday, May 24.) Please remember, you must be present when your name is called if you wish to speak, or you can donate your time to another speaker.

#### PUBLIC HEARING:

If you would like to speak before Council, you can choose to sign up to speak during the public hearing (Agenda Item #67). You will be given three (3) minutes.
