Inaugural benefit

Right in the middle of all of the design competition excitement this fall, we also hosted our inaugural benefit concert. On October 10th a crowd of almost 2,000 packed Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater to listen to great music and support the conservancy.

Our inaugural concert, featuring Gary Clark Jr. and the Wheeler Brothers, was a terrific fundraising opportunity for a lean organization to be able to continue to perform its mission of preserving and redeveloping Waller Creek. Thank you Stubb’s, Gary Clark Jr., and the Wheeler Brothers for a great evening!

Stubb’s filled with supporters.

This was a very special night for everyone involved, and we have a beautiful poster to remember the evening with. We are grateful to C3 Presents for commissioning the gorgeous screen-printed, limited-release, commemorative poster designed by Austinite Ben Garner for the concert. The poster features Austin in a bottle with Waller Creek running through it. If you would like your own copy of the concert poster signed by the artist, we still have a few available for a contribution of $30 to the Waller Creek Conservancy. The holidays are quickly approaching: what better way to give something uniquely-Austin while supporting the transformation of Waller Creek?
