Connecting to nature has well-documented benefits to physical and mental health, social well-being, and cognitive development. Wild Waterloo: Sensory Science is an environmental awareness program specifically designed for sensory learning. Every aspect of this interactive program has been thoughtfully designed to encourage people of all abilities, skills, and ages to engage their senses while at the park.

Event Highlights

Visitors will participate in a variety of interactive workshops, immersive experiences, and hands-on activities including:

  • Forest Bathing
  • Outdoor Games & Obstacles 
  • Edible Plant Workshops
  • Nocturnal Garden Tours
  • Sunset Garden Concert featuring Local Opera, Local Artists
  • Herb-Infused Cocktails 
  • and more!

During the event, various areas throughout the park will be designated Sensory-Friendly Zones to provide opportunities for visitors to self-regulate and decompress, as needed.
