Morning Glories: Women’s History Month
Waterloo Greenway presents Morning Glories, a childhood education series offering hands-on activities that foster literacy, bilingual storytelling, music, dance, cultural exploration, and nature play. Taking place on two Saturdays this spring, Morning Glories will celebrate Women’s History Month in March and Earth Day in April!
Join us for a celebration of trailblazing women from all walks of life! Since the country’s earliest days, women have been paving the way, breaking down walls, and demanding change. While we may occasionally mention women’s contributions, Women’s History Month is a powerful time to recognize and celebrate the various achievements and vital impact women have had throughout American history. The featured book will be I Like Myself by Karen Beaumont.
Creative opportunities throughout the event include drawing & coloring activities, a letter-writing station, paper airplane construction, custom button-making, and more, all inspired by strong, creative, impactful, and independent women throughout history!
