Waterloo Greenway presents Morning Glories, a weekly early childhood education series offering hands-on activities that foster literacy, bilingual storytelling, music, dance, cultural exploration, and nature play. Each week features a new theme with exciting activities, including Waterloo Kiddie Limits, Local Heroes, Diwali Celebration, Pumpkin Harvest, Día de los Muertos, and Holidays Around the World!

Tuesday, October 7 – Waterloo Kiddie Limits
Join Waterloo Greenway for another installment of Waterloo Kiddie Limits! Rock out with a dance party, design a fun festival headband or wristband, and grab a sweet treat!
Tuesday, October 14 – Local Heroes
Join us for a tribute to our local heroes! Enjoy storytime, craft your own superhero identity, and meet some of our local heroes who keep Austin safe every day!
Tuesday, October 21 – Diwali Celebration!
Let’s celebrate this Hindu Festival of Lights with storytime, illuminated and colorful crafts, and a Bollywood dance party!
Tuesday, October 28 – Pumpkin Harvest
Fall fun is all around! We’ll paint our own take-home pumpkins, go on a leaf-finding expedition, enjoy fall-inspired snacks, and search for The Great Pumpkin at Waterloo Park!
Tuesday, November 4 – Día De Los Muertos
Join our Mariachi-led procession through the Hill Country Gardens as we pay tribute to our loved ones with a Dia De Los Muertos celebration! Enjoy mask-making, floral garland crafting, and sugar skull activities for all!
Saturday, December 6 – Holidays Around the World
Join us for an end-of-the-year Morning Glories celebrating holidays around the world! Family-friendly demonstrations and activities will showcase a variety of cultural celebrations, music, food, and holiday spirit!
