Día De Los Muertos 2023
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, long observed in Mexico and other Latin American countries and communities, is a holiday now embraced globally.
Each culture infuses their own unique influences into vibrant festivities that honor the dead. Gather with us as we celebrate both the centuries-old and modern traditions shared from around the world.
Local Tejana florist Yliana Lara will transform the Moody Amphitheater stage into a community “ofrenda,” or altar, where visitors are invited to place images and decorations that honor their families and friends who have passed. Guests can remember beloved departed pets at a special Alebrijes Altar designed by artist Ernest Ramirez.
Visitors will also enjoy free live music, dance performances, calavera face painting, a Latinx artisan market, live artists, muralists, and more!
