Día de los Muertos

Join Waterloo Greenway as we honor the beloved tradition of Día de los Muertos. This vibrant two-day event will feature beautiful altars, live music and dance performances, family-friendly art and cultural activities, a Mercado y Más artisan market showcasing local creatives, and food available for purchase from local food vendors.

As guests enter Waterloo Park, they will cross a marigold-adorned and illuminated Bridge of Life into a place of shared cultural celebration, supported by Austin Energy. Visitors are invited to contribute photos and mementos to honor their departed loved ones at the main community ofrenda on the Moody Amphitheater stage, designed by local floral studio Teoxochitl Design and supported by LALO Tequila, as well as a special alebrijes altar, a tribute to beloved departed pets, designed by Muertos Design and supported by Love, Tito’s.
