Creek Show 2018 Call for Ideas

Waller Creek Conservancy is excited to announce that the 2018 Call for Ideas is now open!

Celebrating its 5th year, Creek Show features light-based works by local designers. In 2017, the event drew more than 20,000 Austinites and visitors to downtown over ten nights. In 2018, Creek Show will be moving to a NEW location along Waller Creek, between 9th and 11th Streets, in the heart of downtown Austin. The objective of Creek Show is to raise awareness about the future transformation of Waller Creek by experiencing the creek in new and interesting ways.

Information is available now and submissions will be accepted February 12 – March 2. New and emerging Austin-based artists, architects, landscape architects, and designers are encouraged to apply. For complete details regarding requirements, budget, and timeline, please click here.

“We were blown away by how much fun people had with our installation! It was a truly exhilarating experience to design something that could activate the Creek in such a palpable and positive way. These opportunities don’t happen often enough. Although it only lasted for 10 days, we feel like our installation for Creek Show was able give Austinites a peak at what’s to come and contribute to the evolution of this place in a small but meaningful way. Looking forward to next year’s Creek Show!”
