We want to thank our community for supporting another year of Creek Show! With over 20,000 Austinites experiencing our ten nights of free art installations, kids’ programming, and music, this was our most successful year in this 4th annual tradition.
This year, we were excited to host our first Creek Show Lounge as a place to dive deeper into the future transformation of Waller Creek into a series of urban parks. Featuring a large-scale model of Waterloo Park and a VR experience of Waller Creek, our goal was to offer a glimpse of the future. We were able to share our vision for the project and also learn from you what an active and inclusive green space will mean for Austin and our community.
With family-friendly activities and special programs, including a talk with the artists and new art-centric bike ride, the week was packed with inspiring events that captivated visitors through visionary art illustrating the intersection of natural environment, innovative design, and urban life.
