Concert on the Creek: Forever Bicycles May 11

Join Waller Creek Conservancy and KMFA Classical 89.5 for an outdoor exploration of music in celebration of National Bicycle Month!

Austin musician and artist, Steve Parker, will lead a series of performances and workshops that will explore the traditional and non-traditional properties of music through an unusual combinations of sound-makers including bicycles! Steve Parker will be joined by Adam Bedell (line upon line percussion) Henna Chou (COTFG), and the UTSA Trombone Choir!

10:00AM – Smart Trips Austin Guide Bike Tour
11:00 AM – Concert on the Creek: Forever Bicycles Begins
11:30 AM – Adam Bedell, Henna Chou, Steve Parker, & the UTSA Trombone Choir
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM – Sound-makers: Bicycles Workshop
01:30 PM – Adam Bedell, Henna Chou, Steve Parker, and the UTSA Trombone Choir
02:00 PM – Concert on the Creek Concludes

Waller Creek Conservancy is also teaming up with Bike Austin and Smart Trips Austin to curate a series of programs and bike rides across Austin to/from Concert on the Creek!

Take a spin with Smart Trips Austin to Concert on the Creek! Riders will experience a guided ride from Conley Pavilion (1000 Niles Aveune) to the concert (and back!) with a Smart Trips Austin Ambassador! Riders of all ages and experience levels encouraged! The route consists of off-street trails and protected bike ways! Riders will also be treated to a truly unique musical experience and fun workshop! Sign Up Here
