2012

Thanks to you, 2012 has been a remarkable year for the Waller Creek Conservancy.

We are so grateful to the many Austinites who have donated, attended events, followed the design competition, submitted feedback, volunteered, and advocated for us this year.

To name some highlights: Design Waller Creek: A Competition is complete; City Council unanimously affirmed the selected design team, Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Inc. and Thomas Phifer and Partners; the conservancy received extensive local, national, and international press coverage; children, families, tourists, and locals participated in events along Waller Creek; and 2,000 people attended our inaugural annual benefit concert featuring Gary Clark Jr. at Stubb’s.
