Fundraiser will Support Waterloo Greenway’s Mission to Create and Maintain a Park System for All of Austin
Austin, TX — February 5, 2025 – Waterloo Greenway will welcome back a beloved fundraising event this spring. On April 5, 2025, the 12th Annual Pop-Up Picnic will bring together friends, families, and community members to enjoy curated picnic baskets from top local restaurants, live music, and beautiful outdoor spaces. Held in Waterloo Park, this event supports the mission of Waterloo Greenway to create and maintain an extraordinary urban park system and a restored Waller Creek, in partnership with the City of Austin, for the benefit of all.
This year’s Pop-Up Picnic baskets feature offerings from some of Austin’s top restaurants and chefs, and are designed to provide a variety of delicious options perfect for an outdoor dining experience. Each basket includes a meal for two and a pair of tickets for entry to the event. Additional entry-only tickets can be purchased separately for friends or family members and those wishing to bring their own spread. Picnic baskets go on sale this March and are a wonderful way to support the project. Beer, wine, specialty cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase on-site during the event. All proceeds directly benefit Waterloo Greenway Conservancy’s efforts to build, operate, activate, and sustain this vibrant urban greenspace in the heart of Austin.
