In 2024 Waterloo Park welcomed over 200,000 park visitors, hosted 30 concerts at Moody Amphitheater, offered 175 free community programs, and supported beautiful landscapes throughout all the seasons!
A wide variety of community programs energized the park throughout 2024, including wellness classes, children’s activities, nature walks, concerts, art installations, and more. Especially memorable was the once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse in April 2024. As the park was uniquely situated within the path of totality, multiple festivities centered around this historic event, including Vampire Weekend’s afternoon show, a cosmic concert at Moody Amphitheater that we’ll never forget!
Throughout the year, construction continued on Phase II of Waterloo Greenway, just north of Lady Bird Lake, and the design of Palm Park began to take shape.
