4th Annual Waller Creek Symposium
This annual event, hosted by Urban Ecosystems – FRI Research Stream at UT Austin, celebrates Waller Creek and brings together scientists and citizens all across Austin who have a vested interest in the health and sustainability of Waller Creek. In past years, this event showcased students’ research as well as featuring keynote speakers to discuss their specialties in urban ecosystem health, biodiversity of creeks around Austin, water conservation, and more.
Anyone interested in Waller Creek is welcome to attend—researchers, educators, planners, managers, historians, etc. We welcome those who want to listen and participate in the discussions, and we especially encourage anyone with data, proposals, or information about the creek to make a poster to share your discoveries.
The goal is to have as many Waller Creek interested people attend as possible so that we can share information, learn from each other, and work on solutions to problems in, and along, Waller Creek.
This year’s symposium will be held virtually on Zoom. Registration and attendance at the symposium are free.
