AUSTIN, TEXAS — May 31, 2023 – Celebrate National Pride Month at Waterloo Park with the return of Waterloo Greenway’s Rainbow on the Creek on Saturday, June 10. Leading up to the annual Rainbow on the Creek celebration, Waterloo Greenway is hosting a week-long series of free community-centered events that connect and celebrate Austin’s LGBTQIA+ community.
Pride in the Park
Pride in the Park at Waterloo Greenway aims to connect and promote Austin-area LGBTQIA+ resources and communities through curated performances and activities that celebrate Austin’s spirit of inclusion, unity, and acceptance of diverse LGBTQIA+ cultures, communities of color, and varied genders and sexualities. Pride in the Park at Waterloo Greenway seeks to be a welcoming and inclusive space for all ages. Visitors are encouraged to review all event details to ensure a suitable experience.

This conversation will center Black & LGBTQIA+ voices in a discussion about race, queer identities, and the intersection of both, as conversations around justice and equality grow worldwide. Moderated by Aira Juliet (Host, Black & Queer AF) and spotlighting Raasin McIntosh (Downtown Austin Alliance), Anthony Hubbard (Heyoncé The Vocalist), and Nico Ramsey (ECPR Texas).
