A HUGE THANK YOU to all who attended Glow in the Park to help raise funds for the future of Waterloo Greenway!
On Thursday, October 10, friends of Waterloo Greenway came together for a magical evening under the stars to celebrate the impact Waterloo Greenway has on the Austin community year-round. With more than 700 Austinites joining the celebration, this year’s Glow in the Park was our largest and most successful yet!
A special thank you to our Co-Chairs, Gary Farmer and Katherine Farmer Thornhill, our Host Committee members, and all of our sponsors. The generosity and dedication of these individuals and companies made this unforgettable experience possible while supporting Waterloo Greenway’s mission of creating and maintaining an urban park system for the benefit of all!
Together, we raised over $1.64M (and counting!) that will support operations and maintenance of Waterloo Park, our outstanding free community programs, and continuing construction of The Confluence, Phase II of our project. We can’t thank everyone enough for their steadfast commitment to this legacy project in the heart of Austin, built for all Austinites and visitors to our wonderful city. Together, we are making Austin greener, healthier, and more connected.
Located in the heart of downtown Austin along a restored Waller Creek, Waterloo Park is a central hub of activity featuring more than 1.5 miles of scenic trails, thousands of native plants, imaginative playscapes, and the 5,000-capacity Moody Amphitheater. The 11-acre greenspace is a public park, restored in partnership with the City of Austin, and is open daily from 5am – 10pm for everyone to explore and enjoy.
