Austinites are invited to come see designs for the new Waller Creek Park at Waller Creek Conversations, a series of free public sessions with the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department, on Saturday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 17. The community will learn about designs for the district, including Waterloo Park, the Moody Amphitheater, and get a first look at the Waller Delta, where the mouth of the creek meets Lady Bird Lake.
Community members are also invited to participate in an interactive activity during the sessions to provide feedback on bike paths and trails, playscapes, and lighting for the parks within the Waller Creek district.
Waller Creek Conservancy, in partnership with the City of Austin, is actively working to revitalize and transform Austin’s Waller Creek. Whether you have been following the project consistently or you want to learn about Waller Creek for the first time, all are invited to hear about the progress of the project and provide input on the future of the new Waller Creek Park. Public input is a valuable piece of the design process and we encourage residents from all backgrounds and all areas of the city to come be engaged in this conversation.
