The Waller Creek Conservancy is proud to announce that Creek Show 2016 will be held on November 10–19. The free, public art exhibit begins with the opening night event on Thursday, November 10. Creek Show, now in its third year, spans ten nights and includes five light-based design installations along Waller Creek between 5th and 8th Streets. All designers participating in the 2016 event are Austin-based architects, landscape architects, and visual artists.
“This year’s event builds on Creek Show’s extraordinary success these past two years,” Ingrid Spencer, Creek Show Director, said. “The five original, glowing installations promise to delight and surprise Austinites once again, highlighting the Waller Creek Conservancy’s work to transform the future of downtown Austin and showcasing the talent of Austin-based designers.”
Creek Show is free and open nightly from 6pm to 10pm. The community is invited to walk along Waller Creek to view the works of art designed to highlight the natural beauty of the space and its future transformation into a series of urban parks.
