Waterloo Greenway and PNC Bank today unveiled the PNC Lounge, a newly-refurbished space within Waterloo Park that provides a premium experience for Moody Amphitheater guests attending concerts and a gathering space for community partners.
Designed by Thomas Phifer and Partners with interiors by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture, the 800-square-foot lounge features a mural by local artist Chacasso. The mural depicts a collage spotlighting Austin’s iconic music venues and artists that made the Live Music Capital of the World what it is today. Additionally, the air-conditioned cocktail lounge features a private bar and restrooms so Lounge patrons don’t have to wait in long lines, upgraded food and beverage options, and luxurious living room furnishings.
“We are so pleased to announce our partnership with PNC Bank and unveil the lounge for the first time,” said Waterloo Greenway CEO Jesús Aguirre. “We’re incredibly grateful for their support of Waterloo Park and Austin’s arts community. Their contribution has elevated the concert experience here at Moody Amphitheater and enabled Waterloo Greenway to further expand its public programming.”
Access to the PNC Lounge is included with a variety of Moody Amphitheater concert tickets, including the premium seat experiences and box ticket holders. General admission ticket holders can also enjoy the PNC Lounge experience by adding a Level Up benefits package to any concert ticket. Elevated perks include premium parking locations, rooftop access, and experiencing the renovated PNC Lounge. Packages start as low as $30 and can be purchased ahead of time at Ticketmaster.com or at the Moody Amphitheater Box Office during shows while supplies last.
The PNC Lounge is part of PNC Bank’s multi-year sponsorship of Waterloo Greenway, which includes C3/Live Nation ticketed concerts and year-round free community programming.
Since opening in August 2021, Waterloo Park has maintained a strong focus on supporting local and emerging artists, musicians, and creatives. By partnering with groups like Frida Friday ATX, Castle Hill Fitness, Planet Texas 2050, and Local Opera for Local Artists, Waterloo Greenway provides a welcoming, inclusive space in the heart of downtown for Austin organizations to exhibit their work and connect with the community.
“As a Mainstreet Bank, PNC is committed to organizations and initiatives that amplify our thriving business community, support our growing population, and enhance our unique culture,” said Dillan Knudson, PNC regional president of Austin. “Waterloo Greenway’s development of Waller Creek represents a physical connection between two areas of the city that were separated by socio-economic divides. We are proud to partner with the conservancy to continue to bridge the divide and create programming year-round for all Austinites.”
